God's Pocket, BC

Heaven on Hurst Island

09/22/2016 - 12:30
God's Pocket is a slice of heaven on Hurst Island! I was lucky to spend a week at this unique gem of a resort kayaking, hiking, whale watching and eating to my hearts desire. The cabins are cozy, the owners of the resort are a true delight, and the fresh prepared meals by your very own personal chef are tastier than anything you would ever expect from such an off-the-grid destination! God's Pocket is known as one of the best cold water diving spots in the world and you can tell why... I would dangle my feet over the dock deck in the morning drinking my hot coffee and watch the resident octopus swim just feet below me... and then look up and out into Christie Passage at the Humpback Whales passing by! God's Pocket Resort is a MUST do at least once in your life- I highly recommend planning a trip while the resort is still offering tours!

Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

Delight in Dalmatia!

09/22/2016 - 12:13
Cruising the pristine waters of the Adriatic is on my top 5 world excursions list! I could not possibly love the city of Split & Dubrovnik more- but the islands that make up the Dalmatian coast off of Croatia are some of the most beautiful islands in the world! Brac & Hvar were stunning visits- I cannot wait to go back and spend more time exploring this popular travel destination!

Loreto, Baja Mexico

Sea of Cortez Splendor!

09/22/2016 - 12:07
One of my very first kayaking trips was based out of Loreto in the Sea of Cortez with ROW Adventures- I had no idea what to expect and I was completely blown away by the spectacular nature and beauty of the area. We spent 4 days kayaking, hiking and snorkeling around the two Islands of Danzante & Carmen in the Sea of Cortez. There was not another person to be seen throughout our entire time exploring these islands other than the 10 of us on tour. The waters were pristine, the snorkeling was spectacular and the scenery was to die for. On multiple occasions we paddled through pods of hundreds of dolphins, dancing beside our kayaks as if we were one of the pod- I have never experienced something so surreal! The campsites were pristine and the view of the sunset, the infinite view of the sea from one direction and the majestic tall mountains of the Baja Peninsula off in the far distance was a delight to wake up to in the morning and say goodnight to in the evening. I can't wait to get back to the Sea of Cortez for another adventure!

Sardinia, Italy

Serene Sardinia

09/22/2016 - 11:43
Sardinia is an island isolated from the busy tourist scene on the mainland Italy. Full of incredible food, wine, kind and accommodating people- the local culture will stimulate your taste for life and carry with you for years. Sardinia's slower pace and abundant options for exploring nature make it an amazing location for a multi-sport exploration!

Saguenay Fjord, Canada

The Saguenay Fjord must be

09/22/2016 - 11:24
The Saguenay Fjord must be one of North America's top travel destination secrets! What an exquisite adventure location for paddling and hiking while being immersed in the fantastic French-Canadian local culture full of delicious cuisine, stunning nature, and rich history. An extra day exploring Quebec City is a must, too!
