A nature lover’s delight, The Los Roche Archipelago National Park is home to a rich and diverse ecosystem, including several rare and endangered species of flora and fauna. Located just off the Venezuelan coast 80 miles north of Caracas, the marine park boasts of some of the best preserved coral reefs in the world, flanked by white sandy beaches and warm clear waters that give off multiple hues. Originally a fishing destination, Los Roche now offers a variety of activities including sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing. Several refurbished fishermen’s houses serve as inns for tourists, other accommodation options ranging from luxury lodges and sailboats to cheaper campsites.
