
England: The Lake District
This District is also called Lakeland or The Lakes and is located in the mountainous areas of North West England. It is popular among its peers for the stunning and awe-inspiring forests, lakes and, mountains. It is also the same area from which the term Lake Poets arose from, which include famous pastoral writers such as William Wordsworth. The landscape is divided among the private farmers, National trust, National Park, and the Forestry Commission. The area has no restrictions on movement or entry; however, some cultivated areas are restricted to footpaths and byways.
