Myanmar is the insulate corner of SE Asia– but it’s changing rapidly. Journey beyond the principal cities, religious, and ancient sites to remote villages of this diverse and dramatic landscape barely touched by outside influence. Our goal is to discover the mystical depths Myanmar revealed in timeless rural life where few travelers venture. On this easy activeadventure we walk amongst hill tribe villages, kayak on Inle Lake, cycle down rural roads, trek through the jungle to an elephant conservation sanctuary, and venture into the mountainous states of Mon and Kayin to overnight in Hpa An village. Highlights also include exploring the vast complex of temples at Bagan and making spiritual pilgrimages to all three of Myanmar’s most sacred sites - the Golden Rock Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, Shwedagon Pagoda, and Mahamuni. Myanmar is opening its backdoors; let us show you the way.
