
Switzerland: The Bernese Oberland
Oberland is a Bernese Highland; it is situated in the higher southern end of the canton of Bern. It is a large area that starts from Meiringen and Hasliberg up to Grimsel Pass as well as the lake Brienz among many others. The mountain range located in this area are called the Bernese Alps. Picturesque fauna and flora of Oberland have breathtaking views with untouched nature, magnificent mountains, and clear lakes. The landscapes hold an impressive range of mountain peaks and 800 lakes that leave most visitors speechless. Oberland is famous for ski competitions, ski races, tennis tournaments, and seasonal festivals.
