Pyrenees
The Pyrenees mountain range in south-west Europe creates a natural border between France and Spain. It is about 451km long and extends all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. According to classic mythology, the mountains were named after a princess. There are no lakes in the valleys unlike the Alps but has many waterfalls and is also more difficult to travel due to the rarity of passes. Due to the cold weather and abundance of snow, it hosts a number of ski resorts in both France and Spain. It is also a great place for mountaineering, bicycling and cross-country running.
