Ningaloo Marine Park
Ningaloo Marine Park protects a 260km fringing reef off Western Australia's mid north coast. It is a very popular spot for snorkeling where you dive with whales, dolphins, dugongs, manta rays, huge cod , turtles and whale sharks. It is inhabited by more than 500 tropical fish species and 200 coral species. Diving lessons are also offered as well as equipment. April to June is the best time to visit so that you can not only swim with the gentle whale sharks but also view the mass coral spawning after the full moon in April. There are also several historical shipwrecks from the days of whale hunting.
