Namibia - Skeleton Coast
It is the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean coast of Namibia and has been referred to as the “Gates to Hell” and “The Land God Made In Anger”. It is called the skeleton coast because of its hostile and highly inhospitable climate as well as the skeletal remains of whales that were left over from the whaling business. The winds give rise to dense ocean fogs for much of the year. The Skeleton Coast National Park has featured in many wildlife documentaries, showing the many animals that have adapted to the climate.
