Not easily reached most tourists arrive by plane where views of killer whales and stunning scenery are sought. Home to wildlife, including two species of penguins, those loving nature cannot be left disappointed.

Urban in its presentation McMurdo Station is home to researchers of various scientific disciplines and the hub of community life, close in proximity of the gulf, Hut Point Peninsula, Observation Hill and Scott’s Base.
