Lundy Island

Wildlife Viewing - UK - Europe

Lundy is the largest island in the Bristol Channel and lies 12 miles (19 km) off the coast of Devon, England. It has a population of only 28 people but is greatly managed to facilitate both day-visitors and those who choose to stay longer. It has also been named Britain’s tenth greatest natural wonder. There are two ways of reaching the island: by ship or by helicopter. It is home to an unusual number and species of animals including its own distinct wild pony, but it is particularly known for its marine life.
