Fishing - Montana - USA

A slice of wilderness accented with history, the Bighorn River is more than just the most popular fishing stream in this part of the world. But the river also happens to adjoin a number of hiking trails, cycling routes, and opportunities for camping and horseback riding. "Brown trout for miles!!!"

Fishing
I've fished the Missouri River a couple dozen times but this was my first time on the Bighorn River and it was worth the trip. My recommendation: start at 3 Mile and have a sweet float down to about 13 Mile (Bighorn Access), which lets you skip most of the crowds but not miss any of the fish... which will rise like crazy the whole way!

"Montana River exists as a"

Fishing
Montana River exists as a tributary of the Yellowstone and originates from the Rocky Mountains flowing towards the east fork of Wind River after which it flows into the Wind River Basin. Great fishing area!

"Just Amazing Journey"

Fishing
The Bighorn River is actually the most popular fishing destination in this area but it is also so much more than that. There trails for hiking, cycling, boating and horse-riding. This is an area of living history with many old ranches in the area to visit as well.
