Aysen, Chile
Aysen is the least populated region in Chile, and one of its most visually striking stretches. Against the backdrop of a rugged, untouched and sunbathed landscape, it offers the adventure-loving tourist the fun of venturing into relatively uncharted territory. From long road trips to glacier treks to relaxing in one of many quaint lodges along the way, the Aysen itinerary is custom, flexible and full of surprises. The region is home to the second largest lake in Latin America (Lago General Carrera), and a rugged coast with rich blue waters that are a fishing paradise. Travelers can chance upon hidden water bodies, lush rainforests, stunning glacial formations and complex fjords.
