My biggest tip for Angkor Wat is to give yourself plenty of time! Don't try and see it all in one day as it's just not possible. Also, make sure you get up early to see the sunrise - it's definitely worth it!
From the history-drenched streets of Dubrovnik to the charming old towns on Hvar and Korcula Islands, this region of Croatia is a wonderful place to explore, with good wine and great food too!
There's great cycling routes throughout Lofoten, spectacular beaches and great hiking trails. I loved staying in one of the old fisherman's huts and soaking up the waterfront views!
When you're traveling through the Scottish Highlands, you really get a sense of their moody beauty that has inspired countless artists, writers and composers.
One of Italy's "must visit" cities. Even if it's packed with tourists, the streets and canals of Venice are still an incredible place to explore, with great galleries, museums and restaurants.
Getting lost in Valparaiso's colourful streets is a "must" if you're visiting Chile - there's great street art everywhere, lots of little boutique galleries and cafes, and such a vibrant bohemian history about the place.
An absolute highlight of my time in South America! I did the 4-day "W" trek, but would love to go back and do the longer "O" circuit, encompassing more of the park. From the jagged peaks of Mount Fitzroy to the blue-hued glaciers and the changing vegetation, it really is a breathtaking part of the world!
Machu Picchu is definitely the stand-out highlight of the Sacred Valley, but you could spend a week or two just hiking, horse-back riding and mountain biking through this magnificent region, dotted with Inca ruins and local village communities.
Trekking through Torres del Paine National Park was definitely the highlight of my visit to Chilean Patagonia, with the scenery awe-inspiring. I would love to go back and spend more time in the fjordlands though!
From the wildlife encounters to glacier trekking and exploring the world's southernmost city, Ushuaia, Argentinian Patagonia is a spectacular region. For wine lovers visiting Argentina, there's also a few vineyards here producing cool-climate varieties that are worth a visit!
