"I am a 15 year old girl and I had doubts about doing a rafting trip for 5 days in the middle of nowhere without the comforts of home. I came out of the trip crying because I had the most fun of my life!!!"
~Katy Warren - VA

"What a wonderful family adventure! Our 15-year-old son, who craves adventure, and our 14-year-old daughter, who was a little timid about the thought of whitewater rafting, both loved it. I loved that I didn't have to do a lick of work on the whole trip, thanks to the superb planning of Western River, and our great guides, Drew and Cash, and our swampers, Tom, Sarah, and Karen. Great trip!"
~Nancy Morgan, Lenoir, NC

"Our family agreed this was the best family vacation we have ever taken! The week down the Green River was spectacular! Our guides, Lynelle, Russ, Whitney, and Marian were the very best!! They were knowledgeable, fun to be with, great cooks, and most of all, just very nice people! We made many new friends and had a wonderful opportunity to see the gorgeous canyons of Utah. We enjoyed the hikes, our many swims and baths in the river, and sleeping under the stars. Our daughters, ages 9 and 11 loved this trip and would do it again tomorrow. We highly recommend this trip to anyone, but especially to families looking for a fun white water rafting and camping trip to do with their children."

It's a joy to recall what we did on your Textiles and Wildlife tour!ᅠ We did so much, so fast, in so many places that your expertise and thoughtfulness made our trip informed, relaxed, flexible and, from textiles to tigers, terrific fun!
When people ask about India I cannot answer succinctly: there is just too much to say. In recalling some of my memories, I stammer verbosely about the enormity, diversity, and immediacy of life in India and yet how, underneath and unspoken, there is a feeling of acceptance and peace. That is what I felt.
But what I saw, over and over again, was transformation from dark to light: the weaver crouched in his earthen room weaving lustrous gold and turquoise silk; the Bengalese women arched gracefully over the emerald green in their butterfly spectrum of saffron, scarlet, and crimson saris; the silver shrouded pyre burning orange into the black of night; the starry candles bobbing peacefully away, white light floating towards eternity. And, rising from the murky depths, the lotus blooming full face towards the sun.
India for me is as intriguing as tying a sari . . .ᅠ at once beautiful and confounding!ᅠ But most of all, what we shared, is unforgettable.ᅠ Before I left a friend gave me a tiny book of Indian poetry, Gitanjali Song Offerings by Rabindranath Tagore. She said he was famous. I'd never heard of him. I read it when I got home:
When I go from hence let this be my parting word, that what I have seen is unsurpassable. I have tasted of the hidden honey of this lotus that expands on the ocean of light, and thus I am blessed--let this be my parting word.

We had a great time in Bhutan.ᅠWeᅠenjoyed Sonam and Jigme, our guide and driver respectively.ᅠ The Monasteries and dzongs were really interesting and some - the Temple for Peace near Punakha and Tiger's Lair - were spectacular. Can't wait to travel again with Myths and Mountains.

We've been back from Tibet for a week now and I didn't want another day to go by without writing to thank you, praise you, and otherwise bow down to you for planning such an incredible trip for us! Everything was perfect, and all ten of us repeatedly commented on the outstanding planning and attention to detail that you and your staff at Myths and Mountains put forth on our behalf. In particular, we must praise both Penba Tashi and Ananta in Tibet. They are truly amazing guides and the quality of our trip was in large part due to their incredible patience, helpfulness, knowledge and so on. They were amazing!
Big hug and many thanks,
~Susan

"Our trip to Peru exceeded all expectations. As a destination the country is unequaled in my traveling experience. Rich with sights, sounds, culinary delights and needless to say, extraordinary culture. The care and accommodation provided by Austin-Lehman was faultless. Atmospheric, top of the line hotels, great food and attention to detail and service throughout. The guides provided were excellent. Extremely personable, knowledgeable and intelligent, they brought a deep understanding of their country to our
experience. I could not recommend this trip more highly."

"I have just completed the Middle Fork of the Salmon walk. This is my second trip with your fine company. During many years of outdoor activities I have not experienced one that came close to your quality with respect to knowledge of the area, food, safety, accommodations and a desire to provide a lasting experience. The people skills of the crew, humor, anticipating needs, caring and generosity were especially appreciated."
~Janice White, Middle Fork of the Salmon August 2004

"The Croatia trip was unbelieveably fantastic. Miso was so much more than a guide. He allowed us to see the country through his eyes and it was surely a once-in-a-lietime experience."
~Claudia Schultz, Croatia Yachting Trip, May 2006

"The feeling of being able to paddle around, pull up your kayak, wander around a bit and set up camp was like being in the Louvre after everyone else had gone home."

| Euro-Bike & Walking Tours |

"We just wanted to thank you for the lovely bike trip of Ireland we took years ago. This June, we rented a home on the tip of the Sheepshead and were right where we had biked. However, I did not bring the daily bike maps with me, and it was impossible to find some of the unique stone circles and other sites that are not easily visible even though we knew they were there! It made me doubly appreciate what you and your guides (Jan and Peter) did for us, including the lovely dinners. It brought back wonderful memories."
~Sally Basting
|
"The Roman Roads trip was terrific! Desiree was a wonderful leader, unflappable! Tom is also a great guy. I'll tell anyone that Euro-Bike & Walking Tours is the way to bike through Europe. I really appreciate the lower cost (Econo-Tour) alternative of this trip. All the hotels we stayed in were fine."
~Jack Krasner

"In case no one from our group has sent the word, we had a fantastic bike trip in Tuscany last month. It was perfect in nearly every way. Our guides Tom and Kavya were wonderfully nice and tireless in doing their best to help us. We will be bragging about what a great job your company did to all we know, and hope we'll get to do another trip with y'all in the near future. Thanks again."

| Your company was absolutely outstanding and extremely professional! Thanks so much. Although I donメt really enjoy boats at all, the experience aboard the MV Grigory Mikheev was fabulous. Rolf, the shipboard lecturer, was an amazing leader who always emphasized safety first. Thanks to Myths and Mountains, Iメve now made it to all seven continents!ヤ |
