Nepal: Thorung La and the Annapurnas

The Kali Gandhaki rises as a tiny spring in Mustang on the Tibetan Plateau, carves a path between the towering peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas, and rushes through one of the world's two deepest gorges before flowing into India. This very special trip traces the course of the river, taking you to Tansen, Birgha and the sacred shrines of Muktinath. You'll travel over 17,000 Thorung La into the heart of the Annapurna range, before flying out to Pokhara. Along the way, you'll visit four READ libraries, dance with the locals, and see some of the most spectacular scenery in Nepal.

"Our trip to Peru exceeded all expectations. As a destination the country is unequaled in my traveling experience. Rich with sights, sounds, culinary delights and needless to say, extraordinary culture. The care and accommodation provided by Austin-Lehman was faultless. Atmospheric, top of the line hotels, great food and attention to detail and service throughout. The guides provided were excellent. Extremely personable, knowledgeable and intelligent, they brought a deep understanding of their country to our experience. I could not recommend this trip more highly."
