Passing through olive groves, pungent pine forests and quiet mountain pastures, we discover the towering cliffs of the Portofino National Park, a 1,200 year-old monastery and a giant vineyard amphitheatre at Volastra.

Switzerland - Bernese Oberland & Lake Lucerne

Today, highly efficient cable cars, cog railways, and chairlifts bring walkers to trails high above the treeline where we walk through verdant meadows filled with wildflowers. We ride a cog train to the base of the Eiger, visit a farmerâs chalet and see how LâEtivaz cheese is made, and walk with panoramic views of the Monch and Jungfrau.

We visit the Duke of Marlborough's estate at Blenheim and see the quiet village graveyard in Bladon where Sir Winston Churchill is buried.

We explore the ancient university town of Oxford and try our hand at punting on the river.
